I am thankful to God that He has called me to be the new President of RTS Charlotte. What an honor! I am already praying for our students, our faculty and staff, our supporters and even you, prospective students whom I do not even know yet. I am asking God to let my part in this ministry begin with prayer and total dependence upon Him. And I hope to focus on one story: of telling the story of God's redeeming love in Jesus Christ and how He calls men and women to go forth in His name to tell that old, old story to the world. I pray that from our ministry, pastors and teachers, evangelists and missionaries, counselors and lay leaders will go forth to the ends of the earth, grounded in the Word of God and strengthened by godly pastor-scholars, to fulfill God's purposes in our generation.
If God is leading you to ministry, then He is no doubt leading you to prepare for that ministry. I assure you that we at RTS Charlotte take that calling very seriously and believe we exist as a servant of the Body of Christ to help prepare you to fulfill God's call. Please pray and consider our seminary as you pursue your call. I think you will find what I found when I was called here as President: that through the dedication of our faculty and staff and student body to the inerrant and infallible Word of God, the Holy Spirit Himself is our teacher.
